![]() ![]() Mouse for controlling a space/flight sim? *shudders*. Just simply more fun this way than needing the keyboard every 10 seconds. From there Ive took signals for extra cage/uncage button on. My experience is that binding everything on the HOTAS is easy and afterwards I hardly need to touch my keyboard. When you look on video with teflon strips mod you can notice two mini 2pin plugs added on PCB. I have a Saitek X52Pro HOTAS (that I bought for playing DCS sims, and I've since tried it with X3:AP and it's been so much better than with just a normal joystick. I will try it anyway at begining before going for razer hydra or keyboard + mouse. X rebirth shoud be very simillar to his elder brother regarding this but maybe with upgraded physics and less complex commands it can worth a shot to use a HOTAS for this game. Did either of you change the sensitivity settings on the throttle axes I already assigned buttons 29 and 30 to decrease throttle 1/2 to account for the reverse thrust. My experience with X3: TC and a HOTAS was not so good because it has been developped around the mouse + keyboard control as it was easier to assume all the complex commands and orders you can give. When I tried that yesterday, MSFS complained that it was already assigned, but today when I tried it, it worked.
